Development of Educational Products for Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) System User and Stakeholder Training
Funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, PDMP Office, this project will use identified education best practices and strategies to change the clinical behavior for healthcare providers related to prescribing and dispensing Schedule II – IV medications in Pennsylvania. This project will develop training materials across a number of modalities (e.g., web, video, paper, etc.) to train different healthcare providers on how they can best utilize the Pennsylvania PDMP to monitor medication prescribing and dispensing and improve health for those patients who may be at risk for or have developed a dependency to their medications, such as with prescribed opioids.
